Tobacco is one of the worst industries there is, with exploitation and child labour. We want to change that. A roller in Nicaragua earns around 600 dollars a month, as the Swiss trade magazine Cigar reports. At our manufactory it is around 1,000, far more than in the rest of cigar production.
Costa Rica is one of the most expensive producing countries in Latin America, because people here are paid decently and work without haste. That is exactly what we chose: for the quality, for the working conditions, for Patron Andrés.
