We are Philipp, Yves and Luca, friends since kindergarten in Sursee. In February 2026 we stood on the floor of the Tabacos de Costa Rica factory in Puriscal for the first time. We've been bringing Andrés León's cigars to Switzerland ever since.

Andrés stands behind it
Andrés León is taking over Tabacos de Costa Rica from his father. Nothing reaches Switzerland under our name without his say-so. We know him, write to him directly, and talk through every shipment with him.

Two years of lead time
Tabacos de Costa Rica buys its tobacco two years before production. What is rolled today was selected two years ago. That patience is expensive, and you taste it in every draw.

Fairly paid
Someone working at the factory earns around 1,000 dollars a month, well above the going rate in Costa Rica. Pay people that way and they take their time over every single cigar.

Costa Rica, deliberately
Producing in Costa Rica costs more than almost anywhere in Latin America, because people here are paid properly and nothing is rushed. That is exactly what we chose: the quality, the working conditions, Andrés.
Pura Vida
More than a greeting: a way of life.
You hear “pura vida” on every corner in Costa Rica: as a greeting, as an answer, as a way of putting what's real ahead of what's fast. We felt it ourselves in February 2026. That is how the cigars in Puriscal are made, and how we want to sell them here.
